Health Department: 324 vaccine providers in all 64 parishes will receive COVID vaccine this week

These providers - including 139 chain pharmacies, 111 independent pharmacies, 59 federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), 4 rural health clinics (RHCs) and an additional 11 healthcare sites - represent all nine public health regions and 64 parishes of the state.

LDH confirms COVID-19 outbreak connected to Louisiana Classic Wrestling Tournament

The Louisiana Department of Health has confirmed an outbreak connected to Louisiana Classic Wrestling Tournament held at Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales on January 15-16, 2021. The Department has received more than 20 reports of athletes, staff and attendees testing positive for COVID-19.

Louisiana Department of Health announces COVID-19 testing for week of January 25-30

The more contagious U.K. variant of COVID-19 has been identified in Louisiana, and all Louisianans need to take precautions to protect themselves and their loved ones. Avoid gatherings of individuals not part of your households, work from home remotely when possible, wear a mask, practice social distancing and good hand hygiene, and stay home if sick.
